Application Requirements
A major system integrator of eHealth solutions in Europe was planning to develop a high performance nursing cart. With limited space in the nursing cart, it needed to be portable without carrying an additional battery pack. The nursing cart had to be compact, low power, with multiple compartments and easy to clean form factor. For the hardware specifications, they needed more usable space for nursing professionals so the system had to be compact and fanless. On the application side, remote maintenance and real-time data updates and recovery were further requirements. |

Project Implementation:
The customer adopted Advantech's Intel® Core™ i5-4300U Mini-ITX , AIMB-2330, motherboard with low profile enclosure AIMB-B1000 as their solution. AIMB-230's processor is designed to save up to 25% energy consumption compared with previous architectures. It is a one-deck I/O design, only 25 mm in height, with a variety of I/O consisting of: 1 x full/half-sized Mini-PCIe, 2x COM, 1 x mSATA, 3 x SATA III, 4 x USB 3.0 and 2 x USB 2.0 which can fulfill any I/O function requirements.
