Project Scope:
One of the most frustrating and time consuming activities for visitors in a busy metropolitan area is hunting for a parking spot. That's why many parking structures these days implement digital signage solutions to indicate available parking spaces.
For this project, a US customer wanted to construct an intelligent parking service system for public parking lots.

| Requirements for the system included: ability to identify visitor information, display a personalized welcome message, show a diagram of free parking space for each visitor, and transmit data back to central control room for security purposes. Advantech’s digital signage players and displays satisfied all of the customer’s requirements for real-time information and multiple displays. |

System Solution:
Numerous large-screen displays are connected to a Advantech DS-570 digital signage player installed at the parking lot entrance and aisles. Powered by Intel® Celeron® N2930/J1900 quad-core processor with an integrated NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M graphics module, DS-570 supports ultra-high-definition graphics up to four displays via 1 x VGA, 1 x DP++ , and 2 x HDMI outputs. As a result, DS-570 drastically reduced the installation costs for the customer while fulfilling all system requirements. The DS-570 player is also equipped with SUSIAccess, preinstalled content management software that facilitates the creation, dispatch, and management of multimedia content providing an all-in-one turnkey signage solution |

| After a visitor’s vehicle is identified, real-time parking information is transmitted from the digital signage displays to central control room via a network connection provided by the signage player. Once the visitor’s information is confirmed, a welcome message and parking diagram is displayed to either returning visitors to their reserved spots or new visitors to free parking spots. Visitors feel personally welcomed while the digital signage makes parking more efficient and hassle free.

| Overall the customer was extremely satisfied with DS-570 capabilities. It made parking more efficient and turned a frustrating situation for many shoppers and visitors into a pleasant and positive experience. |
